Mom is doing much better. Last Thursday, she moved to a new facility in Pensacola, FL. She has been much more alert and interactive. She is receiving some physical therapy while there. Last week, she also walked about 12 feet with a rollator!
Yesterday, she had her tracheostomy tube removed and the site closed. A few minutes ago, my Uncle Kevin called me and put mom on the phone. She talked to me for a bit, but answering questions is still somewhat difficult for her. Later today, she is going to be evaluated for a rehabilitation facility. So, things are looking up. I'll try to be better about keeping everyone posted. Sorry!

Dont worry about the delay in news. We all know it has been tough being far away and all that it takes to get to her and all. Just thankful

Just wanting to know about Val still. Hope things are well.
ReplyDeletePlease let Val know we are thinking of her. We have both quit playing FFXI for the rest of the year and maybe more. We would like to stay in contact with Val if only thru emails. Let her know we are always thinking of her and hoping her recovery is fast.
